Biography of the Program Chair
Dr. Nasser H. Rashidi is with the Department of Technology at Virginia State University, Petersburg, Virginia. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Wyoming in 1988. His major research activities involve in computer aided design and mathematical modeling of power electronic systems, control systems, motor control, power systems, power communication and electronics. Dr. Rashidi served as a Chair of Engineering and Technology Department at Virginia State University from January 2003 to July 2006. He also started a new program in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology at Shawnee State University and served as a Director. He was also a Senior Electrical Engineer at Ultra Electronics Power Systems in Annapolis, MD.
