Calgary, a cosmopolitan Alberta city with numerous skyscrapers, owes its rapid growth to its status as the centre of Canada’s oil industry. However, it’s still steeped in the western culture that earned it the nickname “Cowtown,” evident in the Calgary Stampede.
Calgary Stampede attracts over one million visitors per year and features one of the world's largest rodeos and the most famous event of its kind in the world, a parade, midway, stage shows, and concerts etc. In 2018, Calgary stampede will be held from July 6th to 15th. You should not miss the greatest outdoor show on Earth.
Aside from its modernness, Calgary is only an hour’s drive away from Banff National Park, visitors will be able to experience breathtaking panoramas of the Canadian Rockies and the modern urban life altogether.

MSI 2018 Calgary will serve as a forum for the exchange of information and results among researchers, practitioners and students interested in modeling, simulation, identification, and their applications.

The topics of interest to be covered by MSI 2018 include, but are not limited to:

  • Data engineering, graphics, and image processing
  • Methodology and software
  • Mechatronics, robotics and control
  • Healthcare and medical engineering
  • Power and energy systems
  • Petroleum and resource engineering
