Dr. William Song is a lecturer at the University of Durham. Dr. Song has been working in conceptual modeling for databases, enterprises, and requirements for more than 15 years. Since 1998 he has been active in the research areas of semantic web and web document modeling, and metadata modeling. His research interests also cover e-commerce, e-learning, e-government, e-services and e-science. Recently he has focused on the virtual organization nature, internal structure, and its context in the grid in connection with the semantic web services. Dr. Song has published more than fifty research papers in referred international journals and conferences. Dr. Song has been teaching semantic web courses for University of Durham, UK, Stockholm University, Sweden, and Peking University, China at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He was invited to deliver talks in international conferences, seminars, and workshops on conceptual modeling and semantic web related topics. Dr. Song received his PhD from Stockholm University and the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden in 1995 and BSc. from Zhejiang University in 1982.
