is an Associate Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Michigan State University. He has published in a wide range of areas including design automation, parallel processing, computer architecture, nanotechnology and security. His current interest is in intrusions and intrusion prevention. Recent publications vary from IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing to DEFCON'06. That is, his work ranges from the theoretical to the practical. He holds one patent in nanotechnology for a nanoscale memory device and has four patents pending, including two in hardware security.
