Innovative Computing is a promising scheme offering an efficient method to solve complex and difficult problems. Several techniques in this scheme are applied in many applications including smart power and energy systems. These techniques comprise areas like artificial intelligence, artificial neural network, genetic algorithms, particle swarm optimization, fuzzy logic, various hybrid systems, wavelet transformation, etc.
Smart control is one of the most important approaches of successfully regulating the dynamic response of the plant. This method is widely applied to control various systems including power and energy systems. In addition, it is well known that both innovative computing and smart control system play an important role in system modeling, control, fault analysis and operation scheduling of power and energy systems. The scope of the session is in the broad areas of innovative computing, smart control system, information and control applied to smart grid and energy systems. Prospective authors are invited to submit their manuscripts to the session chair via email to drsomyotk@gmail.com by December 15, 2011.
