Dr. Michael J. Connelly obtained his PhD in Electronic Engineering from the National University of Ireland: Dublin. He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of Limerick, Ireland, where he leads a research group investigating functional applications of semiconductor optical amplifiers, optical sensors and optical coherence tomography.
