Dr. Francis J Ogwu is a Professor in the department of Computer Science University of Botswana. He was the Head of Department from June 1st 2007 to May 31st 2013. He has a strong academic experience of teaching computer science and related subjects for the last twenty-five years. He has been the head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. He has over 31 research papers and international journals and conferences to his academic credit. He has also been a member of the editorial board for Botswana Journal of Technology (BJT), South African Computer Lecturers Association (SACLA) and IASTED Canada. He has chaired various IASTED conferences and SALCA’05. His areas of interest are computer communications and networking and artificial intelligence. He is specialized in speech processing.
