is currently a visiting research scientist and NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada) fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering. He received his Ph.D. from McGill University, with a specialization in multi-objective modeling and identification of textile composites. Dr. Milani has participated in industrial projects and research topics in modeling, simulation and optimization of forming processes and engineering structures, which are published in international journals and conference proceedings. He has also been a member of the Process Modeling and Instrumentation Division at the Industrial Materials Institute, National Research Council Canada (NRC). Dr. A. S. Milani
Ms. C. El-Lahham is currently an Application Engineer at RAND North America with an expertise in finite element modeling and simulation softwares used in industrial problems. She received her M. Eng. with honors in Mechanical Engineering and her B.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering from McGill University. Examples of her recent projects include: Numerical simulation and multiple criteria optimization of a three stage cold heading process (McGill University in collaboration with Ivaco Rolling Mills), Finite element modeling of reinforcement in osteoporotic human femur (McGill Orthopaedic Research Center), Finite element crash analysis of structural frames (Research Project in collaboration with NASA).
