Biography of the Keynote Speaker
Patricia Dwyer RN, MSc, is a graduate (1978) of the Grace General Hospital School of Nursing and achieved a Master of Science (2003) Faculty of Medicine, Community Health. Background work experiences include 20 years pediatric experience in Emergency Care and Hospital Administration, 10 years with various departments with the Faculty of Medicine, MUN: Instructional Assistant Clinical Skills, Undergraduate Medical Education, Community Health, Associate Director TETRA, Program Analyst, Applications and Evaluation Coordinator for various Telehealth projects: the Remote Communities Services Telecentre Project (RCST); Telecentres for Education and Community Health Project (TEACH); Integrated Emergency Medicine Network (IEMN); Marine Interactive Satellite Technologies (MIST); NL Teleoncology Program, and Special Projects Coordinator with the e-Health Research Unit. Currently the Telehealth Clinical Coordinator, NL Centre for Health Information, responsible for fostering relationships and building regional capacity in telehealth application development and providing implementation guidance for the Newfoundland and Labrador Telehealth Program.
