Biography of the Invited Speaker
Ms Nosipho Maphumulo has worked for Eskom for eleven years in various capacities. She is currently General Manager of Demand Side Management. Prior to this, Nosipho held executive positions as Regional Manager Sales and Customer Service Manager, Regional Finance Manager and Senior Accountant. Before Eskom, she worked at Arthur Andersen as Senior Auditor and Head of the Department of Commerce.
Ms Maphumulo is a qualified chartered accountant with Bcompt Honours and Higher Certificate in Financial Markets and Instruments. She has also completed the Harvard Senior Executive Programme for Southern Africa and Corporate Governance Courses.
Ms Maphumulo is one of the founding members of the African Women Chartered Accountant Forum, as well as founding chairperson of Inkwali Development Forum.
Ms Maphumulo’s interests include development of less privileged women and children in rural areas.
