Biography of the Conference Chair
Dr.Saif alZahir received his PhD and MS degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Wisconsin (UWM) respectively. Dr. alZahir is involved in research in the areas of image signal processing, multimedia processing, networking, and VLSI. In 2003, The Innovation Council of British Columbia – Canada named him British Columbia Research Fellow. He has authored or co-authored more than 75 journal and conference papers in several languages. He is the editor-in-chief of the Signal Processing, International Journal, editor-in-chief of International Journal on Corporate Governance, editor in several journal editorial boards, and member in many International Program Committees of international conferences. Currently, he is with the Computer Science Department at UNBC, British Columbia – Canada.
