TUTORIAL SESSION
Applications of Artificial Intelligent Techniques for Modeling of Self-Excited Induction Generators
Abstract
This tutorial describes the importance of artificial intelligence (AI) i.e. artificial neural network (ANN), fuzzy logic (FL) and genetic algorithm (GA) in electrical engineering with concentration on its application in electrical machines. Apart from introduction to artificial intelligence, this tutorial includes the application of MATLAB, Genetic Algorithm, Fuzzy Logic and Artificial Neural Network to model the magnetization characteristics of self-excited induction generators (SEIG). An attempt is made to use artificial intelligence for the complete modeling of SEIG. At last comparison of simulated and experimental results on different SEIGs is shown to prove the accuracy and effectiveness of AI techniques. Objectives
To develop methodologies and create interest among researchers regarding use of AI techniquesBackground Knowledge Expected of the Participants
